Mylo v1.001 Filesystem

I’ve finally got around to backing up my Sony Mylo filesystem. To see the file on your Mylo v1.001, download Total Commander from Ghisler.com and install.

To find out what your IP address of the Sony Mylo when its connected to your wireless network. On the Mylo, scroll down to Tools > Settings > Network Settings > Connection Info, click that [see below for sample pic].



Right, make a note of the IP Address, in this case its: 192.168.1.105

Next, open up Total Commander, after the welcome screen go to the Net Menu (top middle), then click on ‘FTP Connect’. See below for image of whats next.

Click ‘New Connection’, a new window pops open.
The host & Port goes here, place your Mylo’s IP address (instructions above for this), then ‘:4242′ thats the port were are connecting too, eg: 192.168.1.105:4242
The username is root
The password Qtopia (capital Q).
Remote Directory, to get to the top level of the filestructure, enter ‘../../‘ here (without quotes).
Local Directory, where to save the files too, eg: C:\mylo_backup_folder (this empty folder has to be created on your drive before this).
Click OK at the bottom.
Click on Connect.
You may get a warning on your Mylo, press down on the arrow keys on keypad to select & press enter.
All done.
You select files you wish to view/copy on the left panel, click them (shift+click for multiple select) and drag to Local Directory (right panel). Hey pressto
